Nearly 1M people became U.S. citizens in 2022 (click to the left to read the article).
Chatham Literacy is delighted to be a part of that statistic.
Despite the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services’ (USCIS) backlog in processing naturalization applications and thus the extended waiting period (much due to COVID-19); last fiscal year (July 2021 – June 2022) Chatham Literacy helped 10 people become U.S. citizens and have helped 4 more since July 1, 2022.
It is with great pride that we share that Chatham Literacy has helped, since 2009, 133 adults become U.S. citizens!
In April 2022, Christina became a U.S. citizen after studying, throughout the pandemic, two times per week via Face-time. Congratulations Christina for your perseverance and accomplishment!
“I wanted to thank Chatham Literacy for their time to tutor me and support in filing my application for citizenship. I can finally say I made it. Thank you for the support you give people to be better and achieve dreams like mine, a big hug and my gratitude. “
