Class schedule

Individual and group classes

Chatham Literacy offers free one-on-one tutoring and small class instruction at convenient times and places across Chatham County. Our schedule is always changing, so the best way to get information on current classes is to speak with one of our Progam Coordinators.

To speak with someone about our programs, contact  Student Coordinator Leslie Ocampo at 919-742-0578 or via email at leslie@chathamliteracy.org.

For more information, please go to our Student FAQS.

One-on-one and group tutoring is available in Spanish Literacy, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Financial Literacy, Citizenship, and Adult Goal-Based Literacy (individual training with a specific goal in mind). Students and tutors often coordinate to choose the times they want to meet, although some classes are set by our Program Coordinators. Many locations are available, such as:

  • Pittsboro: Chatham Community Library, 79 West, Central Carolina Community College
  • Siler City: Chatham Literacy offices, Jordan Matthews High School, Central Carolina Community College
  • North Chatham County: Galloway Ridge, Carolina Meadows, Nature Trail
  • Throughout Chatham County at churches, restaurants, libraries, and other public locations.
  • It is not permitted to receive tutoring at a person’s home.
