Welcome to Chatham Literacy to our new tutors! 

My name is Leslie Ocampo and I am one of two ESOL program coordinators for Chatham Literacy. I send out weekly emails to update our tutors on any news, resources, or updated policies across all programs. Feel free to email me back if you have any questions or concerns. 

We have a monthly tutor zoom meeting with Chatham Literacy tutors called Tutor Strategy and Support Sessions. The Tutor Strategy and Support Sessions will continue in 2026 with a new time and date in February.

1.) Tutor Appreciation Gift Pick-Up: Tuesday, January 13

Last month, we held a tutor appreciation event where we gifted tutors with an appreciation gift. If you have not received yours, please pick it up at our office in Siler City or at 79 West on Tuesday, January 13, 11 am - 5 pm. Please respond with your name and time of pick-up to this email if you'd like to pick your  appreciation gift up on this date. 

2.) Citizenship: New books on the way!

February. For our citizenship tutors, New Readers Press have published next textbooks to reflect the 2025 version of the naturalization test. I will email via weekly email when they are ready to pick up.
