Daniel Haithcox

Daniel began his career as a middle school teacher and coach in Scotland County for six years, and then worked in Chatham as the assistant principal at Horton Middle before going on to serve as principal at SAGE Academy and Bonlee School. During this time he was recognized as the Chatham County Principal of the Year and awarded the Western Chatham NAACP Humanitarian Award for working with Youth.

He then spent six years working in the Wake County Public School System district office within the intervention services department before transitioning to project and success management work in the Ed Tech field, first at Schoolmint and currently at Apex Learning.

The son of a father who could not read yet worked hard to make sure his children had chances for a better life via education, Daniel knows first hand the impact of literacy and is passionate about helping eliminate access and opportunity gaps.
