Your contribution makes a difference!

Thanks to the generosity of people who live and work in Chatham County and around the Piedmont, Chatham Literacy is expanding its programs and helping more and more adult learners each year. Here are some of the ways that you can help.
Make a financial gift

Become a Friend of the Chatham County Literacy Council by making a tax-deductible donation. Your gift will help to provide the classes and learning materials our students need to improve their lives.

Become an event sponsor

Each year Chatham Literacy conducts four events that provide a significant amount of the funding needed to produce our free adult literacy programming.  We offer popular literacy luncheons in North Chatham and Siler City as well as Literacy Swings big band nights in Pittsboro and Siler City. To learn more about how you can partner with us and our students, please visit our Sponsorships page.

Donate supplies

Help us to keep our costs down and to make learning more affordable for students by donating office and educational supplies. We welcome supplies including (but not be limited to) pens, pencils, dry markers, spiral notebooks, three-ring binders, notebook paper, calculators, dictionaries, reams of paper, envelopes, flip charts, and small portable CD players. To donate supplies, please contact us at 919-742-0578 or at admin@chathamliteracy.org.

Donate space

If your business, church, or non-profit has space where we can offer our free Chatham Literacy classes, we would like to hear from you.  Please contact us at 919-742-0578 or at admin@chathamliteracy.org.
