If you’d like an introduction to Chatham Literacy and information on what’s involved in tutoring, plan to attend one of our upcoming Tutor Orientation sessions. Sessions will be at Chatham Community Library, 197 NC Highway 87 North in Pittsboro on these three days and times:
- Monday, May 18 – 9 to 10 a.m.
- Wednesday, May 27 – 6 to 7 p.m.
- Monday, June 1 – 3 to 4 p.m.
Chatham Literacy will offer free Tutor Training in May for anyone interested in helping adult learners reach their literacy goals. Our 12-hour Tutor Training program will provide the instruction and materials you need to work successfully with adult learners – at no cost to you.
The next three-day training will be on Tuesday, August 18, from 6 to 9 p.m., on Thursday, Auust 20, from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, August 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The training will be at Christ United Methodist Church, 105 Market St., in Southern Village.
