Your Donation Can Help Change Lives

Meaningful gifts of any size are the heart of support for Chatham Literacy’s programs. No gift is too big or too small, a gift of any amount will support our work and the programs that our community needs most. Thanks to the generosity of people who live and work in Chatham County and around the Piedmont, Chatham Literacy is expanding its programs and helping more and more adult learners each year.
Become a Friend of Chatham Literacy by making a tax-deductible donation. Your gift will help to provide classes and learning materials our students need to improve their lives.

Your Impact On Chatham Literacy

Your generous donations support programs that build foundational literacy skills that help adults achieve gainful employment, financial stability, improved access to health care, and better opportunities for their children – our next generation.
Learner Ruth Liborio Castillio tells the story of her emigration to the United States from El Salvador, where she was a doctor for many years. She had to learn English and regain all of her certifications from scratch. Ruth is now a naturalized citizen and certified Registered Nurse, thanks to the help of tutors Joanne Caye and Anne Dobson.
