Rev. Mechelle Thompson
Reverend Mechelle Thompson is the wife of Rev. Carl E. Thompson, Sr. They have three adult children, Carla Thompson, Dr. Karen Barbee and Carl Thompson, Jr.
Reverend Thompson has served her community for over forty years as an activist and organizer in various capacities. She has also served as an administrator by occupation, having served as Lead Administrator Office Manager for Three Springs of North Carolina, and Provisions Academy of Sanford for ten years. She has for the last four years served as The Volunteer and Church Partnership Manager for Chatham County Habitat for Humanity, where she works with local churches and community organizations to fund and build houses for Habitat partner families.
Reverend Thompson currently serves as Co-Pastor of Word of Life Christian Outreach Center of Siler City, N.C. along with her husband.
Reverend Thompson holds a BS Degree in Business Administration from John Wesley University, of High Point, N.C.
