Kara and Onicas with Kara’s painting

Thanks to Kara McSpadden and Onicas Gaddis for choosing Chatham Literacy as one of two non-profits to benefit from a raffle of their paintings at Blue Dot Coffee in Pittsboro.

Eliza Granger won Kara’s beautiful original painting at the Oni-Kara Artists’ Reception on Saturday, August 13. The raffle of Kara’s painting raised $150 for Chatham Literacy.  FVRC benefited from the raffle of Onicas’ painting.

The 100 people who attended the reception had the opportunity to chat with the artists, enjoy appetizers and wine, and listen to music by Sheila Flemming.

Chatham Literacy is grateful and honored to have been included in this very special evening.

Art by Kara and Onicas will be on display at Blue Dot Coffee through September. The restaurant is at 52 Hillsborough Street in downtown Pittsboro.
